Can anyone please tell me how this village was named? Great grandfather Frank Serafin came from area (Swiniary near Chorzele) which is also Kurpie culture. Found no other links.

The both villages do exist today, Swiniary and Chorzele, Google is your friend (for search and for maps.google.com).

About Kurpie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurpie
It is in Mazovian Region, North of Warsaw, approx 200 km.
