Greetings all,
My grandfather is said to have been with the Police Force in T-L sometime around 1910's-1920's, but I don't have any proof of it apart from my mother's sketchy memory. Just recently while searching SwA for something else I found the following, sadly no scans.

How would I go about finding the most appropriate records for my research?
It's only a long shot, but I'm desperate to find a photo of my grandfather since my two siblings have never seen what either of our two grandfathers look like. I at least saw an identity photo of my GF (Michał Soszyński) at my cousin's home in Poland over 40 years ago.

I guess You don't have contact with Your polish cousins who owned the picture?
Can You give me Your grandparents names? Maybe their marriage record informs about his occupation.

My grandfather's occupation on his marriage was simply worker, he was only 22 years old at that time. At his death his occupation was given as 'tkacz' not particularly suggestive of a career in the Police Force.
As for family there, I have lost contact with them, though I'm hopeful of making contact again somehow and somewhen.
