Hi I am looking for this village. To me it looks like Kormanow, On Frank's arrival record, I says he was living in Lublin, so I am guessing it maybe close to there. I searched but couldn't find a village by that name.[/img]

Here are two possibilities, I would lean toward the first. When spoken it sounds close to what is written in the naturalization records.

Kurmanów [kurˈmanuf] (Ukrainian: Курманів, romanized: Kurmaniv) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Białopole, within Chełm County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Białopole, 29 km (18 mi) south-east of Chełm, and 88 km (55 mi) east of the regional capital Lublin.

Or

Karmanowice [karmanɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wąwolnica, within Puławy County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north of Wąwolnica, 13 km (8 mi) south-east of Puławy, and 34 km (21 mi) west of the regional capital Lublin.

Best,
Cynthia
