Post subject: Those of you now living in or near Warsaw, Poland.
I need help from those of you now living in or near Warsaw, Poland. I know several areas of Warsaw, have there own names, and I need to know, which area, would be best for me. I am selling my home, here in the U.S.A. and after this is done, I plan on moving to Warsaw, to retire. I need a nice area, that is safe, and not overpriced. I need, for one person, a fully furnished apartment, with three rooms, a bedroom, with a full size bed, and a kitchen furnished with everything I may need to make my meals, and a living room with T.V. cable, internet, phone, and all utitilies included in. Please give the name of these areas, where to look.
I hope to live off my social security and a small pension, a total around $ 1,200.00 per month, Americnan, do you think I can do this?
If you know of a good way, for me to set up this apartment prior to my move, please help me with this, or if you know where I can look.

Hi, I live in Warsaw but have been travelling in the last few days. I will send you some suggestions tomorrow.
As regards cable TV, phone and internet, you usually have to arrange it (sign a contract) yourself. In most places in Warsaw, there are several providers, and you get the best price when you buy these 3 services in a package.
I can't check the current prices for 3-room flats, but as a point of reference, I can tell you that a furnished one-room apartment in Mokotow, close to the Metro station, costs about 1500 zloty per month plus about 100-150 zloty for utilities (gas, electricity, water).

Is Mokotow near, within walking distance to downtown Warsaw? I know several flats included the cable, T.V., phone and internet, as all other ultiities in a total cost of around the 1500 zloty fee you spoke of, some a bit higher. What are the other areas, I should look for a flat?
Thank you for your help so far, and if you have more, please get it to me.

Thank you for your help, but to start with, I just want to rent, until I am sure where I want to be.
