Post subject: Gronkowska
I am searching for relatives of Luise Gronkowska from Gdansk-Siedlce, on behalf of a friend. Her maiden name was Leckner, and she had a son Karl-August Leckner, born 21 Aug 1896 in Wrzeszcz. She was married twice, first to Mr. Schlicht, but I do not know the forenames of either of her husbands. I would be grateful for any information about Luise
Gronkowska or her relatives (especially any who are living).

Hello there,
I have just read your post and I do know of the Karl August Leckner that you mentioned, I checked his birth date and it is the same.
I can tell you some information to begin with, Karl married Elisabeth Lowenthal in Danzig in the late 1930's I can find the exact year later if you would like. Elisabeth already had three children from a previous marraige one of which was my mother Gerda. Elisabeth had five more children with Karl all born in Danzig. I can tell you that all Karl's children are all still living apart from one.
Karl died during world warII , he died on 19.1.1943 and is buried in the German army cemetery in Latvia.
I don't know anything else about him as I have only just traced our family last year and we have little information.
I would be really pleased if you would respond as there is more to say...
