Post subject: Question about Surname Change from Broda to Brodowski
Hi
My g.g.grandfather, Dominik Brodda, came to Pennsylvania from Peterswalde. He went by Dominik Brodowski in the USA. Is this common practice to change the surname from Brodda to Brodowski?
Just curious as to why Dominik or his brother didn't keep the surname as Brodda.
