If my ancestors lived in Jastrząbka as foresters, which main cemetery would be nearest: Ostrołęka, Baranowo, Krasnosielc or even Dłutówka possibly?

I am searching for the grave of Mieczysław Cuch (1922–1 Oct 1923).

Hi,
Indexed records on Geneteka show that the death record for Mieczysław Cuch is in the Baranowo Parish (1923, Akt #109) so that would be the first place to look.
Keep in mind, however, that a grave from 1923 may not exist now.
Best of luck in your search,
Sophia

Thanks, yes I contacted the Baranowo USC a while back, which is how I found the exact date of death.

I guess I should contact the relevant diocese/parish with any cemetery queries?

Hi,

I would try the diocese.
I'm sure you already found this website for the diocese, regarding the parish in Baranowo - Parafia pw. św. Bartłomieja Apostoła:
https://diecezja.lomza.pl/parafie-diecezji-lomzynskiej/ad/parafie,1/baranowo,4
It provides a diocesan email address that looks specific to the Baranowo parish, as well as the address you would use if sending a letter by regular mail.

I'm not sure if you know that there is a very interesting blog entry here on Polish Origins, written last autumn by Cynthia McDonald, called "I Bought A Grave!" It contains a lot of useful information regarding cemeteries.
https://polishorigins.com/blog/i-bought-a-grave/

I wish you good luck in locating the grave you are looking for.
