Good afternoon,

My uncle, Franciszek Korzeniowski was born on 29 August 1915 in Wysoka, district of Wadowice, Province of Krakow. He is now living in Australia and will be celebrating his 98 birthday this year. He had been in German captivity in years 1939-1945 at Stalag VI-B, prisoner number 1152/1 (card number 90994). After his release he had been in Oberlagen K/P/36, Meppen BOAR (Germany?). Attached is a copy of this document - appreciate a translation.

In 1949 he migrated to Australia where he is still living now, however not in good health.

His father was also known as Franciszek KORZENIOWSKI and mother Helen KORZENIOWSKA (born LUZAROWSKI) both living in Wysoka. I understand that Helen may be his step-mother as his natural mother died when he was very young.

I understand that another relative is Wladyslaw KORZENIOWSKI who lived in Wadowice at address ul. Zaskawie 84. Unable to make contact.

There may be another relative, Zofia KORZENIOWSKA at address - Miejske 525, district of Wodawice. Unable to make contact.

I am at this time compiling our family history and very little information from this family is known. Currently I am at a standstill with my research and would greatly appreciate any assistance regarding information, copies of documents, maps etc.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,
Henry Slapinski

Henry,

Typed first, then some formulas translated.
It seems not so easy to read, if you have doubts, please say so, I will rearrange.

Kind regards,

Elzbieta
