Does Polish Origins have anyone located near the, Archiwum Archidiecezjalne w Gnieźnie?

My brick wall leads to St. Wojciech, Ostrowo nad Gopłem, Brześć to be able to locate records, for the earlier Karasinki (Karasieński) family.

I would be looking for Marriage records for Wojciech Sr. (possible 3 wives) last one confirmed, by Wojciech Jr.'s marriage to Agnieszka Szczepankiewcz. Wojciech Jr's mothers name, Agnieszka Martylowna. (See Attached Image)
Wojciech Sr., would have needed to re-marry quickly, due to young children from previous marriage, so I am thinking that he didn't venture far from this location.

I am thinking the death records for two of these women would probably be found at, Ostrowo nad Gopłem, Brześć
It appears the first wife Kunnegunda Ryska had twins and then vanished, died? Wojciech Jr's marriage record states his father died in Brześć. So he had died prior to that 1846 marriage.

I do have the copies of birth records that are available online, born to Wojciech Sr. and possible 3 wives.

I also have a copy of the Birth (1826), and Marriage (1846) record for Wojciech JR Karasinski to Agnieszka Szczepankiewicz. And recently, I have found her death record (I think?). (needs translation not yet submitted here)

Any suggestions?

Life can be funny. I just received an email today, from that free look-up service. My grandmother Stella's marriage to Joseph Karasinki, 1917 down in East Chicago, Indiana.

I am wondering if they will be able to look that up online, because if you notice in the image, most of the records are still on micro film and not digitized as would be indicated by a camera not of film image.

But thank you for the reply and the tip.

Take care, be safe...

Hi C. J.,
I was wondering if you have the two birth records for the children of Wojciech, Jr.? I am attaching them just in case you didn't have them. The records are from familysearch.org, film #2065541 Item 1.

Andrzej - record #86, page #203, image #103
Jan - record #38, page #325, image #158

You can post the records in Polish Translation section of the forum and ask for a translation.

Have a wonderful day!
Trish

Hi Trish, thank you for efforts and reply.

Yes there is a Wojciech Sr. and a Wojciech Jr..
I have the birth records of 5 children born to Wojciech (Jr) Karasinski and Agnieszka Szczepankiewcz.
The 1846 marriage record for Wojciech (Jr) to Agnieszka Szczepankiewcz states:
""..marriage ceremony was conducted between Wojciech Karasiński, Catholic, farmhand from
Połajewo, born in Kaspral from late Wojciech Karasiński (died in Brześć) and Agnieszka Martylowna, living in Połajewo, bachelor, 20 years old;..""
Translated by Aleksander Zawilski Polish Origins

It was tricky trying to find that baptism for Wojciech (Jr) but I did. The names for the father and son are recorded as, Adalbertum. But apparently the first name Wojciech is synonymous with Adalbert.
See attached Link to site here: Common Polish Given Names and their English Equivalent https://www.linkstothepast.com/milwaukee/polish-given-names.php

Birth record is Kaspral for Wojciech (Adalbertum) Karasinski
Attached #25 Kaspral April 23 1826
The only difference between the names on the birth record compared with the subsequent marriage record is Adalbert. Laughing

So my thoughts are that Wojciech's father was married 3 times and the last marriage is to Agnieszka Martylowna.

Which takes me back to that index list in the first post and St. Wojciech, Ostrowo nad Gopłem, Brześć .
Hoping to be able to find the death records for the first and second wife, possibly even 2 or 3 of those marriage records. And maybe more children.

Be safe, take care have a good day.

Carla

Edit.
Wojciech (jr) married in 1846 to Agnieszka Szczepankiewcz.
I have the birth records for 5 of Wojciech Karasinski, Agnieszka Szczepankiewcz children.
1847 Marcianna M. 1877 + M. 1883
1851 Franciszek M. 1878 + M. 1916
1853 Andrzej D. 1858
1856 Jan
1859 KAZIMIERZ M. 1885
