Post subject: Research - Ropczyce (Mała, Glinik, Niedźwiada)
Is anyone aware of scans or online records available for the village of Mała in Ropczyce?
I have found records on szukajwarchiwach for the surrounding areas: Łączki Kucharskie, Glinik, etc.... But none for the parish in Mala (Kościół Rzymskokatolicki pw. Św Michała Archanioła). These records are for a few other families that ended up marrying in with last names: Skora, Podgorska, Bieszezat, Cabaj
But, for the last few years, I have been unable to find any birth documents for my great grandfather and grandmother.
Stanislaw Wojcik (May 15 1874 - June 13 1950) Born in Mala Ropczyce
OR
Katarzyna Skora (Wojcik) (~1880 - January 1936) Born in Mala
For Katarzyna, I did find her death certificate in chicago which listed her parents as Joannes Skora and Marianna Podgorska. She also had a brother and sister named Joseph and Helena who cited Kata on their Ellis Island documents.
Any information on the Mala parish would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aaron,
By searching here, you can see information about the parish in Mala:
https://parafie.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=pr&pid=4904
It includes a link to the parish website, which has great pictures and history as well as contact information in case you want to direct your question to them. It also states which years' records are on Geneteka, and points to the archive in Tarnow for the rest.
This link will take you to the Tarnow archive website. Scan down this page until you find Mala. It would seem that the records for the years of greatest interest to you are not held by the archive:
http://archiwum.diecezja.tarnow.pl/kopie-ksiag-metrykalnych-diecezja-sandomierska.html
It may still be worthwhile for you to approach the archive, in case your Katarzyna was born 1881 rather than 1880. You may also find other family members there.
Best of luck in your search,
Sophia
