Post subject: Need help with town's name
Hi Everyone,
I need help trying to figure out the town's name for Albert (Wojciech) Ostrowski. I have several ship manifests, but only the 1911 manifest lists a town for him and his wife (Josephine (Jozefina) Malinowska. The manifest lists a town called Czechanova.
Albert Ostrowski was born on 4 April 1852 per his passport record which I am attaching. The town listed is Ciechanowo.
Is Czechanova and Ciechanowo the same town? Are these towns really Ciechanow? I don't want to assume. If this is correct, are there records for this town?
I have his death record from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There aren't any parents were listed for him. I do not have a marriage record. I only have some census records and manifests.
Albert (Wojciech) Ostrowski seems to be related to my g.g.g.grandfather, Stanislaw Ostrowski from Gebice, gmina Mogilno.

Thank you so much for looking into this. Thank you for the birth record. Now I have to figure out how Jan Ostrowski is related to my g.g.g.grandfather, Stanislaw Ostrowski. I belive they might be brothers or cousins.
