Dr. Wojciech Schäffer (of the Catholic Church Archives in Katowice) on Gregor Drozdzok
"God bless.
I have some good news about my ancestors...
Not only did I find:
1/ baptism certificate of Grzegorz Droszdzok
but also
2/ marriage certificate of his parents (father's name was Seweryn).
It is great luck because the wedding book from the Funeral has been preserved
only from 1819..."

The Father of Gregor Drosczok is Seweryn, per the Catholic Church Archive in Katowice. They also say that they have located the baptism record for Gregor and the Marriage record for his parents. This is early 1800's or so. Brian

Hi,
I think he finds more than that. I have been in contact with him before, and he responds quickly. Best to send all the information you're looking for and everything you've found, so he spends less time.

Hello,
Looking for info (parents, siblings, spouse, children) for Johann Buron (abt 1780- 1858) who lived in Pschow, Kreis Rybnik, Upper Silesia. He had a daughter Johanna (also Marie) Buron (1821-1901) who was married to Georg Mandrisch (1821-bef 1879) in 1847 in Pschow, Kreis Rybnik. This Kreis is adjacent to Kreis Ratibor wheere Georg & Johanna (Buron) Mandrisch settled. Need a little help.

Hello,
I have some received some more info on the Droszdzok/Drozdzok/Niestroy Family from the Catholic Archives in Katowice. It appears Gregor Droszdzok was born/baptized 3 March 1824 in Pogwisdow, Hohenbirken, Ratibor, and married Magdalena Kapuscik on Nov 24 1846 in Pogrzebin, Ratibor. He had two brothers: Johann Droszdzok who was born/baptized on 12 October 1821 in Pogwisdow, Hohenbirken, Ratibor, and Franz Droszdzok, who was born/baptized on 1 August 1826 in Pogwisdow, Hohenbirken, Ratibor. Gregor's Father was Severin Drozdzok who was married to Hedwig Niestroy on Aug 1 1820 in Pogrzebin, Ratibor. She is also mentioned as Francisca Niestroy in Gregor's baptism record, but as Hedwig Niestroy in the siblings baptism records. Her father is Johann Niestroy, b. abt 1770. Johann would be my 5th ggrandfather. Anyone who can add anything- feel free to weigh in.

I am trying to determine if Marianna Jendrzejczik of Hohenbirken, Ratibor, Silesia, Germany, who married Johann Dudek in 1888 (in Hohenbirken) is related to Josef & Franz Jendrzejczik, brothers, who were both married in Hohenbirken in 1879 and 1883, respectively. The brothers were married to Mandrisch relatives of mine: Caroline & Johanna.
Thanks,
Brian

Post Posted: Thu Aug 08, 2024 12:21 pm      Post subject: The Buron's of Prussian Silesia/Czech Silesia/Moravia
Reply with quote

I found some more Info on the Buron's.
Johanna Buron was born March 6 1821 in Antoschowitz, Ratibor (from an OFB), and died in 1901 Hohenbirken. An 1847 Marriage record to Georg Mandrischa from Pschow, Rybnik, was disputed by a number of folks as being incorrect, including Arturro from Genealodzy.pl; Her name is mentioned as Marie Boron, and the couple is believed to be different. From an OFB, I was able to determine who her parents and siblings were. Her Father was Joannes Buron, born in 1782 in Krmelin, Moravia, and died Jan 7, 1858 in Pschow, Rybnik. He married Francisca Koneczny on July 22, 1810 in Hultschin, Ratibor. Johanna's siblings include: Antonio Norbertus, Josephus Prokopius Anton, Franz, Carolus, Mathias, & Joannes (a twin). Francisca Koneczny (b. 1785, d. 1855 in Haatsch, Ratibor) parents were Johannes Koneczny (b. 1752 in Boleslau-) and Susanna Stempion/Stiemp (b. 1765 in Boleslau-). Susanna's parents were Laurentius Steimp and Theresia.
Joannes Buron's parents were Simon Buron, b. Oct 21 1758 in Poruba, Karvina, Czechia, and Barbara Hraniczky, b. abt 1755 in Austria. Their Death dates were after 1801, the birth of their last child. Simon and Barbara's other children were: Marianna, Theresia, Marianna, Rosalia, Apolonia, Johannes, Johanna, Barbara, & Magdalena.
Simon Buron's parents were: Jacobus Buron (b. 1724-?) and Joanna Horack, who were married in 1747 in Wagstadt (Bilovec), in Historic Moravia, Austria (now Czechia). Simon's siblings were: Joannes, Antonius, Mattheus, Franciscus, Georgius, Theresia, Christina, Petrus, Marianna, & Theresia. Joanna Horack's father is Joseph Horack (or Josephi as in his daughter's marriage record).
Jacobus Buron's parents were: Georgius Buron (1652-Aug 31, 1749, in Wagstadt) & Catherina (aka Ekatrina or Ekaterina). Jacobus' siblings were: Barbara, Josephus, Veronica, Fabianus Sebastianus, Georgius, & Christina. Georgius Buron, the Father, was 97 years old when he died in 1749.
So, we see here the transition of the Buron descedants in Prussian (Polish) Silesia to their ancestors in Czech Silesia, and also to Historic Moravia in Austria. This confirms the suspicion I had that the Buron's might have Czech roots.
Moreover, I also discovered the name of Paul Kapusczik's wife in an OFB. It was Rosalia Koziel (b. abt 1795, d. in Pogwisdow, Ratibor). Paul/Pawel was born about 1790 and died in Pogwisdow, Ratibor, per the OFB. There was a Rosalia Koziet/Koziel/Kozlin/Kozlick, b. abt 1787 in Lublinitz, Kreis Lublinitz, but I was not sure enough that this was the same person as the Rosalia Koziel in the OFB Makau und Polnisch Krawarn Kr. Ratibor. Could use some informed opinions about this unverified connection to the Koziel's of Kreis Lublinitz.
Much Obliged,
Brian

Hello,
Looking for some Buron/Mandrisch Vital records from Hohenbirken (Brzezie), Ratibor, Silesia or Pogwisdow, Ratibor, Silesia. My ancestor Georg Mandrisch appears to have died sometime between 1860 and 1880, perhaps earlier than 1876. His last child Johanna Mandrisch was born in 1860 and he was dead at the time of his daughter Jadwiga's wedding in 1880, per FS Community. I am also looking for the 1901 Civil or Church Death record for Johanna Mandrisch, nee Buron (Georg's wife not his daughter), which likely occured in Hohenbirken or nearby. The Mother of Jadwiga, Johanna (Buron) Mandrisch, was alive and living in Brzezie in 1880. It is not certain that 1901 is the right date, but a 1904 Civil Death record has been ruled out. Maybe BarbOslo can help. Thanks everyone for your wonderful help, Brian
