My 3rd great grandmother, born in Kowal, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, in 1803, has the following description in her marriage record from 1835...

"She is daughter of deceased sergeant of Prussian Army who died in Prussia".

It's easy to speculate that it is possible that he died in the Napoleonic wars. I've tried to look for Prussian Army rosters for that period but so far have not come up with anything.

Thought I would put this out here in the event anyone might have some deeper knowledge that could be of help.

Thank you!!
