Does anyone have any leads on Stanisław Szymczak from Chicago, IL? I’m not sure if he had any children or his birth/death dates. He married my great-grandaunt Stanisława Dziąba (1926–1987) who was born in Przytuły, Poland and migrated to Chicago. She is buried in a single grave in Resurrection Cemetery. I haven’t been able to locate migration records for either of them.

I found this possible death information for a Stanislaw. Do you think it could be your Stanislaw?

Part of the trouble is, I’m not sure if they married in Poland or the US. And since they were buried separately, there are no clues on birth dates for him from her grave (which would be handy as Stanisław Szymczak is a very common name).

There is not much information on Stanisława’s death certificate linked above, compared with others I have seen in Poland and Australia which list marriage date and names of children.

Did Stanislawa go by a nickname? My great-grandmother was a Stanislawa but she went by Stella when she was young and Anna when she got older.
