Post subject: Looking for family information: Madon and Dziedzic
My great, great grandfather was named Franciszek Madon from Wysoka, Galicia. He came to the United States in the early 1900s, approximately 1910. He had a brother Jan Madon who remained in Poland, and his father was named Jendzrej Madon. When Franciszek came to the United States, he changed his name to Frank Maddow and settled in West Virginia. His wife, Sophia Maddow (Dziedzic) was also from Wysoka.
We are looking for any information on our family, perhaps living relatives, records, etc. Any information would be very helpful.

Hi nelly412, do You know what Wysoka Your grandfather came from? I found a passenger list on ellis island, two passengers Jendrzej and Franciszek Madoń were from Wysoka, Austria (corrected from Galicia).
