Post subject: Baptismal Record for Karol Szreder
Hello everyone,
I am currently researching my maternal polish side and stumbled across a relative known as Karol Szreder. According to records from the US, he was born on November 6th, 1881 in Bialystok. He immigrated to the United States on the SS Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse and arrived at NY port of June 12th, 1902. All records from the US cite him as being born on that date but with my research, I have been unable to locate a birth / Baptismal Record for him. This is the same issue for Felicja Szreder who was born on March 26th, 1871 in Bialystok. If someone could help out, that would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lucas Kernan

2.Archiwum Państwowe w Białymstoku – oddział Łomża

I am writing an email to the State Archives in Bialystok and the Lomza Department to ask if there are any church records from the period 1870-1885.

Didn't get an answer yet. It can take up to 2 weeks.
I sent the email on Thursday evening. They don't work on weekends. Today is Monday. You must be patient.

Hi Lukas
I received a reply from the State Archives in Bialystok branch in Łomża. They do not have records from Bialystok and the surrounding area. Excited what the other archive answers.

Hi,
Finally I got a reply from the State Archives in Białystok. No good news.
There are no birth records from 1871 for residents of the Evangelical Augsburg faith. Therefore, they could not find Felicja's birth record.
In the years 1880-1881, the birth record for Karol Szreder (Schroeder) was not found in the Evangelisk-Augsburg parish.
