Hi all,

I remember to have seen a post, some time ago, of a member who was very good at editing pictures that were too darkened. The result was an image with a white background and black handwritten, like in the example 1783 M attached. I have two images (attached, below the example) I would like to make them clearer - not necessarialy as this example - in order to identifiy a name and a date.

Bea and Carolyn,

Thanks for your offer. I am trying to get the following information:

on 1748 record:
the name of the child lies at the end of the second line (ends at the
beginning of the 3rd. as "nam", so it can be Marianan, Magdalenam,
Catharinam, etc)

on 1750 record:
the date is at upper left side, before the word January.

No problem if the rest of the image gets "washed out": if the darkened
parts gets readible then it is ok for me.
