Post subject: Help Please/ Kingdom of Posen
Hello everyone,
I'm currently working on a research project focused on the Hübner family, and I am trying to locate the death record for Johann Daniel Hübner. According to his son Gottfried Benjamin Hübner's marriage record, Johann Daniel was listed as a Burgher and Clothmaker living in Budsin at the time of Gottfried's marriage in 1783, which took place in Bnin. Initially, I thought this Budsin might refer to the present-day Budzyń in Kreis Kolmar, but that location doesn't align geographically with the other areas the Hübner family is associated with.
Instead, it appears that the Budsin mentioned in the record was likely a landed estate near Moschin, Schrimm, now known as Mosina. This makes more sense, as it's in the same area as Zaniemyśl and Bnin, where later generations of the Hübner family lived. For reference, you can see this location on Meyers Gazetteer: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10267012
In my research, I found a will for a Hübner who was also a clothmaker, but unfortunately, there is no original image available for this record: https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/en/jednostka/-/jednostka/30512770
Additionally, I have discovered that Gottfried had a brother, Daniel Bernhardt Hübner. However, I have hit a brick wall in locating the original marriage record for Daniel Bernhardt in Zaniemyśl from 1793. If anyone has insights or access to records that could help me break through this barrier, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Lucas
