Searching for the birth record of Franciszek Ksawery Tutas, born 20/03/1885 in Nowa Wieś, Ostrołęka County. He was the brother of my great-grandmother Helena Cuch née Tutas, and migrated to Hamilton, Ohio USA where he passed in 1946.

When I previously had someone check the availability of records:
“Unfortunately it seems that the oldest available records begin in 1897. Perhaps there are some older records available in the Nowa Wieś parish itself but no one answered my call.”

Can anyone please assist me in contacting the parish? I’m happy to send an email, but I can’t make any phone calls from overseas. Any help would be much appreciated Smile

Hi Charlie,
Could you please tell me who were the parents of your great grandmother Helena and her brother Franciszek Kaswery?

Stanisław Tutas and Rozalia z d. Prusaczyk.

I’ve contacted some of the relevant diocesan archives myself, but the final answer needs to come from the parish directly it seems Smile

I confirm. Pułtusk State Archives and Łomża Diocesian Archives told me they dont have any documents from the parish of Nowa Wieś prior to 1897 and they suggested ask the parish office directly.

Thank you K. I asked Łomża some time ago too.

How do you recommend contacting the parish office – is it only by phone and not email?

Hi
I see that Marcel has already contacted the archive and tried to get an answer from the parish office. From experience, I know that they work a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon. An alternative is to write an email. Then I hope that you will get a reply from Marcel.
