I found info on this site quoting Benjamin Fuhl, born October 1880 and his marriage to Marianne Sager with a child Emilie Lydia Fuhl born Oct 1905 in Ludmilpol. There are references 22440, 22441 and 22439. What are these reference numbers and how can I find out whether this is the same Benjamin Fuhl that is part of my family?

Hi,

I wanted understand your question, therefore googled a little.

Found the names you quote here:
http://www.galiziengermandescendants.org/BDC_Files/dat811.htm

It says:
Birth : 30 October 1905 in Ludmirpol
178890
Reference : 22439

I am not familiar with this site.

Started to looked up the "Main Page"
http://www.galiziengermandescendants.org/BDC_Files/index.htm
then "Help using this database" page
http://www.galiziengermandescendants.org/BDC_help.htm
where at the very bottom is an explanation:
"The "Reference:" number is the case number in the Stamblätter records."
then somewhere in the middle of the same Help page it is written:
"Once you have the case number(s) you use Dave's case number index at this link to find the LDS film number(s) you need."

The Dave's case is a link to this page:
http://www.volhynia.com/res-ewz58.html

The ref: 22439 is within limits of this line;
A029 ... 22,061 - 22,821 ... 1796607

Which I understand as LSD film number 1796607.

I am not sure if it helps,
Best,
Elzbieta
