Hello!
I have tried to translate this marriage record using many of the great resources listed here and elsewhere, but I have finally given up and I'm asking for help! It should be an 1879 marriage record from Skepe Poland between my great grandparents, Jan Kuczmarski and Francyszka Kwityng. I think I see her name and his last name (and maybe November 1879?) but I am lost otherwise.
If anyone is able to decipher this I would be so grateful!
Thank you,
Mary

Hi Mary,
Here are the highlights from this marriage record. If you need a full translation, I can do it later today.

Huta No.34
It happened in Skępe, on November11th/23rd, 1879, at 1 p.m.
We make it known that in the presence of the witnesses, Wojciech Orzechowski 30 years old, a farmer, living in Huta and Michał Kuczmarski, 28 years old, a day laborer, living in Obory, a religious marriage was concluded on this day, between:
Jan Kuczmarski, 24 years old, a bachelor, who was born in Bętlewo parish Mokowo, a son of Marian and the late Małgorzata nee Kostrzewska, the Kuczmarski spouses, the tenant peasants, currently living in Orłowo parish Wielgie with his father,
and
Franciszka Kwityng, a miss, 20 years old, who was born in Huta, a daughter of Marian and the late Aniela nee Gajewska, the Kwityng spouses, currently living with his father, a farmer.
This marriage was preceded by the three banns of marriage, announced in the parish churches in Skępe and Wielgie, on: October 21st/ November 2nd, October 28th/November 9th and November 4th/16th of the current year.

Regards,
-Barb

in addition:

the bride lives at her father's, a peasant from Huta.

The bride's father, who was personally present at drafting the marriage act, gave his oral permission for this marriage.

The newlyweds declared they did not enter into the prenuptial agreement.

The religious marriage ceremony was performer by the local vicar priest, Adolf Pomaski.

This act was read to all mentioned in this marriage act and due to their illiteracy it was signed by Us only.

The administrator of the Skępe parish, serving as Civil Registrar, priest Śmiechowski.

Thank you so much Barb and marcelproust! I spent hours trying to decipher it with google translate, sample marriage records, Cyrillic handwriting conversion, etc and still I got nowhere! I am in awe and so grateful to you both.
Mary
