I don't know, I've never contacted IPN. Again, send an email and see if they can help.

Thanks for genealogists who help and support this forum. My daughter is really interested in Polish Citizenship. She strongly believes , she deserve to be proud Polish as her great grandfather been torched and murdered by enemies. My question will be to professionals who can clarify the answer. The great-grandfather was poland citizen, his daughter was born in 1939, and he was killed in 1940. His daughter who is grandmother of my daughter in crucial 1951 was only 12 y.o. and ... the question is if she lost Polish citizenship or not if she continued to be in Kazakhstan territory. Thanks for sharing knowledge.

Good morning Polcan,

You are wise to say that you want a professional to answer your question, since it is a legal question. You probably realize that this forum we are using to talk to each other is provided by Polish Origins, which is a professional genealogy company. They talk a little bit about the details of Polish citizenship here:

https://polishorigins.com/blog/polish-citizenship/

Perhaps you have already read that? As you mentioned, 1951 is a crucial year. You need expert advice. You may begin by talking to someone from Polish Origins, but you also may need to consult a lawyer.

All best wishes to you and your daughter,
Sophia
