Post subject: 1921 Polish Census in Galicia
Hello!
New participant in the forum, though I did look to see if I could find an overlap to my question and failed.
I'm looking for proof of residency in a specific village outside-now-encapsulated in Rzeszów called Przybyszówka between 1920 and 1923 and would expect to find some records specific to the Census (spis) for the area. I've combed the archives and have since enquired at the local Parish, but was hoping someone had a line on the broader national census.
Thanks!
Timothy

Post subject: Spis Form
This is the type of form I am looking for in the village in question. It was the common form for census collection for the 1921 census AFAIK.
Thanks.
Timothy

Hi,
I spoke to a man from Przybyszowka. He knows a lot about the place. He said that there are no lists of residents (census) from this area. He would be happy to help with other information, but needs to know something more. Family name etc.

Hi Timothy and Barb,
While not specifically a census, if all you want is to show that family lived in Przybyszowka in that timeframe, can't you work from this?
It begins in the era when records were required to be written in Russian, but it continues into the era when they were recorded in Polish, so during the timeframe that you said you are interested in, you will be able to read the names.

It looks like there's another place called Przybyszow.

The city I’m looking for was the one outside Rzeszów, which was partitioned to Austria pre-1917.
I’ve opened a genealogical case with the archives in Rzeszów to see what they can find, as well as written to the parish, but was looking for other public or reserved sources that might have covered the area in the initial years of the Second Republic.
Barb,
Is this someone you can refer me to or should I DM you?
Thanks.

Hi Timothy and Barb,
Unfortunately, the link I provided is for Przybyszow, not Przybyszowka. Sorry for the error.
