Hello everyone,
I am currently researching ancestors from the Podkarpackie region, specifically in Nowy Dzikowiec (1889) and Majdan Królewski (1890)—both formerly within the Kolbuszowa district of Austrian Galicia.
I am looking for Heimatrecht documentation (such as a Heimatschein or Heimatrolle extract) to establish Austrian citizenship for an ancestral claim. I am working with a lawyer in Vienna and need to verify a civil/state connection that goes beyond standard parish baptismal records.
Does anyone have experience locating Księgi ludności (Resident Registers) or Księgi swojskości (Home Rolls) for these specific villages from this era? I am trying to determine which state archives currently hold these civil volumes or if they have been digitized recently.
