Post subject: Help deciphering old envelope
My grandfather immigrated from Poland in 1911. I recently found the ships manifest from Ellis Island that shows that he came from Elzbiecin Lomza. I also have part of an old envelope from the 1950s that was sent from my grandfather's niece with a partial address of Pulaskiego (see attached). As a side note I was looking around Lomza on Google maps and I located a small street with the same name.
I am hoping that someone can help me to decipher the writing on the envelope as I am trying to determine whether I have any living relatives in the area (Kozlowski surname).
I would also welcome any suggestions as to how to further my search.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Tim.

Tim,
The name of the city is on your enveloppe, it's Grudziądz.
The address is: Grudziądz
ulica Pułaskiego 10, m 2 [building number 10, appartment number 2]
(the postal code is missing on your enveloppe, today it should be something like 86-300 to 86-311, number before the name of Grudziądz)
Google is your friend, search:
10 ulica Kazimierza Pułaskiego, Grudziądz, Poland
(you have Street View, the building number 10 is with white signboard of plumbing company Instsan etc)
It's circa 250 km West of Łomża (and Elżbiecin near Łomża).
The name Kozłowski is popular, more than 34000 in today Poland

Grudziądz is quite a big city,

Thank you, Elzbieta You have helped me very much. I have stared at that partial envelope for quite some time thinking that it was of no use, and now you have helped me narrow the search some more. Thank you again!
Best regards, Tim.

Tim,
Polish social network Nasza Klasa (nk.pl) shows 7 Kozlowski in Grudziadz, but no address is provided.
And more 67 if I type the proper polish spelling for Grudziądz.

Thank you Gilberto, Would it be considered impolite to contact people on the social network?
Best Regards, Tim.

Tim,
I don't think so. I subscribed many years ago, with the help of a polish friend to guide my steps in doing so. Once registered you can also check for Kozlowska, the feminine variation. You can send them a short note and see what happens. Best luck in your search!
Gilberto
