I am Zbigniew Przytula and living in Belgium
My father came from Poland in 1946 but we do not have any details on any family. He was Grzegorz Przytula and born on 8/4/1923 in Dubno (Wolin)
I could not really locate this place. Found a similar place, but in Ukrain
His father was Mytrofan and his mother Helena Waszezuk
I would like to return to this place, but have to be sure about the location.
My father only had 1 sister - but she emigrated to Australia
If anybody can help me, with finding this place or even with this name, family, I would like to thank you for that information already.
Thanks for all directions/info
dziękuję bardzo, Zbyszek

Zbyszek,

Are you sure your father was born in Dubno in Wolin area Question This part of Poland - Wolin, Szczecin, Koszalin, in general north-west corner of today's Poland, was area where many Ukrainians, Boykos and Lemkos were forcibly resettled by communists from south-east part of Poland just after WWII in Vistula Operation (more in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wis%C5%82a )

Name Mytrofan and surname Waszezuk sound Ukrainian. Where do you have the information about Dubno Question I think it is probable that it may really be one of the Dubno in Ukraine or maybe the near Bielsk Podlaski...

As a interesting fact there are only 2 people in today's Poland bearing surname Przytula, click here for map: http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/przytula.html .

thanks for the update
regarding the map : if you try przytuła (which was the real name - but the special letter was lost in Belgium) there are many more
My father requested a birth certificate when he married in Belgium.
So we know that it was dubno - wołyn
After the war II it became out of Poland, because of adjustment of borders.
But I could not find exactly the place - I found dubno also in Ukrain, but not sure this is the correct place. And to travel over there is far away - 2000km
Thanks for all info - and I continue searching
Zbyszek

So now it is clear Exclamation This is your Dubno in Wołyń http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubno . Before WWII western, larger part of Wołyń (in Polish) belonged to Poland, now it is Ukraine - map:

More about Wołyń http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volhynia .
