Post subject: question about club or patriotic group in America
My great-grandfathers Alien Registration form from 1940 states that he is a member of the Polish Society Kosciusko and has been for 12 years going back to approx. 1928. He lived in Connecticut during this time and resided in a few different towns including Hartford, Jewett City. The real question of course is if any of you, my Polish origins friends had any relatives in such an organization or have heard of such an organization? (I did try a google search and nothing quite fit the name of the club).
Thanks in advance for your help/insights.

Hugh,
There is a Kosciuszko Foundation site at http://www.thekf.org/
Perhaps they can tell you if they were listed other wise as a Society in their early years.
There is also a very informative Polish Genealogical site in Ct.,perhaps some inquiries through them will give some insight into the name of the Society you are seeking. Even if they are not helpful for your area of interest, it is quite a nice site with many, many Links regarding Polish genealogy and various sources of information. Their Cemetery Project is particularly interesting.

I receive 2 Polish American newspapers and each lists a variety of Current Polish American organizations & Society's, in the United States. These organizations are always in need of New Members to keep them from dying out.
