Post subject: Looking for records in Linkmenys / Łyngmiany (Lithuania)
Hello,
I am trying to find official record (birth certificate, Passport issuance record or anything else) of my grandfather.
He was born in Linkmenys (today belongs to Lithuania) in 1914.
I contacted Lithuanian State Historical Archived, but apparently they do not maintain vital record books of Linkmenys Jewish Community for that year.
I will appreciate any help or guidance as to where I might such certificates or documents, considering that this region used to belong to Poland but today it belongs to Lithuania.
