Trisha,

Some time ago I wrote you about the surnames Buczyński and Todorowski: http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?p=12847

Here is some information about the surname Stefanowicz:

Stefanowicz is from given name Stefan the Latin form Stephanus was adopted in Polish in two farms, the older Szczepan, attested from the early 13th century, and Stefan, attested from the 12th century, while Stepan was the form used in the Eastern Borderlands.

In 2002 there were 3266 individuals using the surname Stefanowicz living in Poland. Detailed map of the surname distribution can be found here: https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Stefanowicz

In the old Poland there was a few noble families of Stefanowicz:

Stefanowicz coat of arms Pogonia in Kowno and Mińsk provinces in 1584
Stefanowicz coat of arms Syrokomla in Lesser Poland
Stefanowicz in Samogitia in 1528
