Post subject: The oldest preserved polish film [1908]
Not sure if that was posted somewhere. But i would like to share the video of oldest polish film made in 1908. It is said there were older ones [1902] but this one has survived to nowadays. It was found in 2000 in France. Its name is "Pruska kultura" (Prussian culture) or "Les Martyrs de la Pologne" by Mojżesz Towbin. The music track was composed in 2009.
This short movie tries to picture some important historical events, like Września school protest or Drzymała Wagon It is worth to note that film was censored just after publication, but was displaying abroad.
Here are some high quality scenes from that film just to look on scenery and costumes.
