While looking for another Chicago church marriage record, I came across a 1903 St. John Cantius Parish church marriage of Kowal, Stanislaus and Biela, Maryanna. According to the record, the bride was from Rogoznik, pow. Nowy Targ, the groom from a village in the district of Nowy Targ that I've never heard of before nor could find on any map: Lukaszowa or Lukaszowo, pow. Nowy Targ. Is someone familiar with this village and where exactly it was located?

Source: Illinois, Chicago, Catholic Church Records, 1833-1925, St John Cantius Parish (Chicago: Carpenter St), Marriages 1894-1909, p. 141.

Ute,

A little idea: Łukaszówki, Zakopane - it's a street name within Zakopane.

Best,

Thanks, Elzbieta, that's one possibility ... Another possibility is a tiny little place named Łukaszówka, gm. Rabka-Zdrój, pow. nowotarski, woj. małopolskie. It looks like a small settlement North of Nowy Targ and Rogoznik (where the groom came from):
