Looking for information on my Grandfather Jan (John) Krukowski born March 17,1884 married Victoria Murwaska (Nov. 17 1893) in Cleveland Ohio on November 13, 1916. He immigrated to America to Cleveland Ohio in 1909. I think he is from Bzrenzo Poland. He had a sister but I do not know her name Her Husband was Stanislaw Walczak. Old letter addressed to my grandfather Address: Village Kolonia Brzezno, Gmina Goworowo, Powiat Ostroleka, Warszawskie.
He immigrated on Kaiserin Auguste Victoria June 26, 1909 from Hamburg Germany. Looking for family in Poland and records from his birth etc. Information on the town and churches there.

Your Brzezno, or correctly in Polish with hook above "z", Brzeźno is located here: http://tinyurl.com/bptapo . In 19th century the village belonged to Goworowo parish.

I have checked for you that there are a lot of records from this Goworowo parish from 19th and even 18th century in State Archives in Pultusk, as well as in Bishops Archives in Plock, click here to see the details: http://tinyurl.com/cm8jeh .

Thank you. I was searching on the map from a web site but could not locate the exact town as you did. I was close but thought it was up more by Gdansk. My computer does not have the polish alphabet.
I have records from my Grandfather but still missing his parents name. I wrote to the Catholic Church in Cleveland Ohio and hoping they will have the Marriage record. I had stopped by the church but was unable to look myself. I am not sure if the record is there but on his Naturlization record it stated They were married in 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio.
I have located the Murwaska side. I have about 20 letters written in Polish mostly from my Grandmolther's side and had them transalated at Ohio State University by Greg who is a recent transfer from Poland. He is on a work visa. He had some difficulty since the letters are old Polish with some Russian influence. She is from Wizajny Suwalki Bialystockie. Most of her family still reside in Poland and some in the same area. One of the lletter from the 1940's spoke of a child Piotr who is my grandmother sister son and he is still alive today. This summer I met his granddaughter in Pennsyvania. It was her first time to the States. I would like to visit Poland but wanted to complete my Grandfathers side since this past summer I had very limited information. The Murwaska side only knew that Victoria went to America and married a Krokowska. She was the only one of ten siblings that came to America during the 1900.
On my Grandfather's side Krukowski I am not sure how many sibling there were in his family. I know of one sister as she wrote a letter but never signed her name. Only the return address had Stanislaw Walczak. In one of the letters she wrote her childrens name Kazik, Stefa, Jadwiga, Tadka, Leszka but that is all I know. One daughter married before 1947 and moved West and her husband is a tailor.
With the sites you gave me for the records how can one search these.?Does one have to write these offices and if yes proably has to be written in Polish ? If I would visit Poland would I be allowed to view the microfilm? Are the records for a large territory? Is Brzenzo very large? His sister letter's were address with the whole address but on his (Grandfather) Naturlization record it stated just Brzenzo.
Last question is Krukowski the orginal name or was it changed in any way other than female and male endings.?
I began this journey after reading the old letters and felt an obligation to locate my ancester because of the pain and suffering they endured during those horrible times.

As for State Archives I recommend you to look at this article: http://polishorigins.com/document/archives_practical_hints
Unfortunately, to find anything in Bishop Archives you have to be there personally or hire someone to do this for you. They don't provide research services.

In State and Bishop archives - yes. In parish church - depends on priest.
