Thanks Dave-what a nice surprise to find out from where Jan Tylicki hailed!!! It was always apparent that the Tylickis were not from Lugi. The first mention of the surname in the records from the mid 1600 was in 1736-the Lugowska marriage. Yes there is a Lubowidz parish-unfortunately, the records are not noted prior to 1756. The BMDs are online at Geneteka and not one Tylicki comes up in a search. I will check further in Zuromin.
Most likely I will have to search for alternate types of records in the State and local Archives. Oh the joys of genealogy!

As for Teresa's brother--it is always helpful having a siblings name. There was only one candidate in the Szrensk indexes who would have been 50y at the time of Teresa's marriage, meaning that there was about a 20 year difference in their ages...not an impossibility by any means. BTW- his father's name was Pawel and there were 4 Pawel Lugowskis having children in Lugi during the time in question....ugh...

Thank you for all you do
Nancy
