Try to find the town of my great grand mother (on my fathers side) Anna according to her husbands Petition for Naturalization. Her name Anna. I'm coming up with Goraiuatyces Austria. I cant seem to find that town. Part of Poland at one time was part of Austria, am I correct?

I think the name of place is: Góra Motyczna

You can see it in on the old Austrian Empire map (I centered it on Góra Motyczna, otherwise enter this name in search field)

Hi,

Cannot find this place. I read either Lejna or Sejna. Surely it was in koninski powiat by then.
First line, column Miejsc Urodzenia.

Gilberto,

Last column in line 1 is Radziejow, with Gosławice, Konin, wielkopolskie in column "Miejsce poprzedniego zamieszkania" (former residence).
The same in line 5, with Wąsewo, Radziejów County in column "Miejsce poprzedniego zamieszkania".
Radziejow is circa 50 km towards North from Gosławice.

The tricky "Lejna or Sejna" -- unrelated to Sejny - could be Wieścice, another 65 km from Gosławice towards South-East.
The written name is "Wieś Scjna", my guess is that it should be a name in two parts.
The closest, immediate, "wieścina" means little village, similar to "mieścina" little town.

Sorry, no better idea.
Best,
Elzbieta
