I am currently watching a TV series titled "Behind Closed Doors - Stalin, the Nazis and The West". This six-part series is a BBC production and I'm watching it on SBS TV in Australia each Friday night.

Some forum members may be interested in the subject matter as it contains top secret archival material that has only "come to light" since the fall of Communism in the USSR. It details the secret negotiations and deals struck behind closed doors and includes attrocities perpetrated by NKWD, Sikorski, General Anders, the Katyn Massacre, deportation of Poles to USSR etc. Shocked

Has anyone else watched this series? There is a book and DVD too.

Here are a couple of websites:

Ted
I was only able to watch one episode, here in west virginia, USA. I couldn't find out when it was being aired again.
The one I did see, was very, very good.
I hope that it is broadcast here again soon.

Thanks for the heads - up

James

Hi James,
I have seen four episodes so far and consider that each one is equally good. The fourth episode dealt with the struggle and ultimate victory by General Anders Army at Monte Casino. It left a big lump in my throat.

Hopefully, in the following episodes I will find out who "bumped off" General Sikorski Crying or Very sad

Regards, Ted

The series was also broadcast in Polish public tv a few weeks ago. I missed the last episode but a few days ago I found DVD (here: World War II: Behind Closed Doors ) and the book (here: book) on Amazon.com.

I also think this is a great documentary showing the world how important role in WWII Poles played, and how were treated by all three "Allies".
