Post subject: Research help with Gajewski and Dobriez Surname
Hello again,
I am also seeking assistance with research for my great grandfather Stanley J Gajewski Sr. born in around 1881 to Anthony Gajewski and Maryanna Dobriez.
He died in Schenectady, New York Dec 13, 1943. He married Ewa Bartkowski and they had 6 children.
I also believe that Stanley had at least two brothers who also settled in Schenectady, NY - Adam Gajewski and Anthony Gajewski.
I have attached Stanley Gajewski's death certificate.

Hi msmortalcoil
You have family members who have done a lot of research on Stanley Gajewski and have created a family tree on Ancestry.com. The attached Polish Baptismal document came from that site.
Stanley Gajewski was born in Obręb and Baptized in the nearby gmina of Lutocin both located in the powiat (county) of Zuromin in the province of Mazowiecki, Poland.

I am guessing that you have found my tree on Ancestry.com I have actually found my previous research to be inaccurate. After I purchased a copy of his death certificate, which indicated that his parents were Anthony Gajewski and Maryanna Dobriez.
If i am correct in my understanding, this record indicates a mother by the name of Marianna Budka

The Family Tree is called “Brianna Gajewski Family Tree” and the owner is Brianna_Guckemus.
Yes, the mother’s name is Marianna Budka not only on Stanley’s Polish Baptismal record but also his brothers Antoni and Adam and sister Katarzyna.
The informant who provided the information for Stanley’s death certificate may have been confused.
