Post subject: Jan Albiniak
I am looking for information on a relative named Jan Albiniak who was born in or near Krasnik. His birthdate is 24 Dec 1881. I have looked through the LDS records but have had no luck finding him. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi,
What is your source of information?
Which Krasnik? That one in lubelski?
I found one born in 1876 in Janow, son of Antoni and Zuzanna.

My information comes from Jan Albiniak's naturalization papers. I have attached a copy. I didn't realize that there was more than one Krasnik. I have been looking at the one in Lubelskie.

His WWI Draft Registration Card tells the same:

Thank you for the help. I do not have a marriage record, but I do know that he was married around 1906 in Wisconsin. I have searched through the online birth records of the roman catholic church in Krasnik on the familysearch website with help of an interpreter as I do not read Polish or Russian, but have come up empty. There are several Albiniaks listed in Krasnik during the time period, but not the one I am looking for. Do you know if there is more than one Krasnik? It could be that he was also from a nearby village. I don't believe that familysearch has indexed all of their images, so I have been looking through the digital images of the church records for the area, but because I don't read russian (the documents for these dates are all written is russian) so I have had a hard time deciphering them.

There are seventeen Krasnik, but we can narrow the search to the ones which were under russian partition.

The image attached shows how Albiniak, Jan Wladyslaw is written in russian.

I have found a Jan Albiniak born in Krasnik in 1881. However, it seems to me the month of birth is April. I can't read the day. You can ask Ryszard by posting it to the Russian Records Translation topic on this forum:

Thank you so much for your help. I am going to have to find more information. I will try and locate marriage and death records in wisconsin that may give me the names of Jan Albiniak's parents. I will post when I have them. Thanks again.

Yes, the right Krasnik is in the Lubelskie province, as in the only one Krasnik in the present-day Poland we can find families surnamed Albiniak:
Edward Albiniak, Krasnik, Poland
Jan Albiniak, Krasnik, Poland
Witold Albiniak, Krasnik, Poland
etc.
