As you know, I recently made contact with my nephew in Poland with the surname Kołodziejczyk. Would you please provide information about this surname.

Hi Tad Smile ,

Kołodziej; Kołodziejczyk from Polish Kołodziej - „wheelwright and wagon maker”.

It is very popular surname in Poland. In 2002 there were 23115 people bearing the surname Kołodziejczyk living in Poland (I personally had a Polish literature teacher Kołodziejczyk in high school) . Detailed map can be found here https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Ko%C5%82odziejczyk .
