Hello,
Please find attached how I would read this record:
A. [indicating it’s a birth record] No. 141.
Tremessen, on November 5, 1891.
Before the undersigned registrar appeared today, of known identity, the worker’s wife [Arbeiterfrau] Rosalie Poszluszna, born Lemrau, residing in Tremessen, of ____ [religion was not provided] religion, and gave notice that
Marianna Iwanska, nee Posluszna, wife of the worker [Arbeiter] Jozef Iwanski, both of Catholic religion, residing with her husband in Debno [see comment below] in his flat, on October 25 of the year thousand eight hundred and ninety one, at ten o’clock p.m. gave birth to a female child and that the child received the name Salomea, what the notice giver confesses from his own knowledge.
Read aloud, authorized and signed.
R. Poszluszna
The Registrar.
(Signature).
The accordance with the main register is approved.
Tremessen on November 5, 1891.
The Registrar.
[Signature]
Comment: The name of the parents’ residence looks like “Debno”. On the first page of the book of this year’s birth records is a list of “Landgemeinden” that were allocated to the civil registry office of Tremessen. There is no “Debno”. What comes nearest to what is written in the birth record seems to be “Duszno”.
Best regards,
Michael

Michael,
Thank you for your efforts! Could the birthplace be Lubin? The reason I bring this up is because I have the birth record of her brother Stanislaus who was born the year prior. This reads as "Lubin" to me and I've attached Stanislaus's record too. Does that seem possible?

Adam,
You’re welcome. The registrar’s handwriting in Salomea’s record leaves plenty of room for interpretation – compare for example the “r” in “Arbeiter” mit the “o” in “katholisch” or in “Wohnung”. So yes, I think you might be right. I read the brother’s birthplace as Lubin, too. That is a strong argument.

Hello,
I think, you got it so far. Two minor additions: The mother's maiden name is Aust and the name of the village Kämmersdorf. Regarding the names of the Godparents Catharina, Daniel and Emilie I wonder whether you could provide a scan with a higher resolution for this part of the record.

Hello Christine,
Thank you. It is a little better to read, but there is still a lot of guessing. There are three entries. The structure of each of them is: No., given name, family name, an information about the status and the place of residence. Catharina and Daniel seem to share the same family name as well as the same residence. So what I read is:
1. Catharina Eichler, Stxxxfrau, Kdorf [Kämmersdorf]
2. Daniel Eichler, Drechsler [wood turner], Kämmersdorf
3. Emilie Leirat, Tochter des [daughter of] xxx aus Gxx
Hope, this helps.

Hello Louie,
Please find the answers in bold:
Question 1: What is the word before 1842? "Namen"
[/b]Question 2:[/b] What is written on the top of the next page?
Top page 1: Datum [hard to recognize] Namen 1842 Top page 2: Datum (date) Namen
[“Datum” is header for two columns: date of birth and date of baptism. “Namen” is header for four columns: name of the newborn child, of the parents, of the godparents, of the Baptist]
Question 3: What is the heading of column 1? I can infer it but I would like to know the exact word.
Column 1: Wohnort: residence (Order of birth: #17 and the town of residence : Poschmin)
___________________________________________________________________________
Column 2 [Datum] der Geburt: birth 19 Februar 7 Uhr der morgen : 19 February at 7 AM
Column 3 [Datum] der Taufe: baptism 22 Februar: 22 Febrary
Column 4 [Namen] des neugeborenen Kindes: (Name of) the newborn child:Caecilia [I would assume this is an “ä” written as “ae”]
Column 5 [Namen] der Eltern: the parents
____________________________________________________________________________-
Question 4: Column 6 - I would have expected Patin but it looks like Pachen Is that a variant spelling?
Column 6 [Namen] der Pathen: the Godparents [In 19th Century German you will find a lot of “h” like in Pathen that are uncommon today.]
Question 5: What is the word that heads this column? I was looking for something like : Pfarrer.
Column 7 [Namen] des Täufers: name of the baptist (Mr. Rev.) Lamparski
Best regards,
Michael
