Hi Michael,
Long time no see. Hope you are well.
I attached quite a few records from Flomersheim in Germany. I'm curious to what you think the mother's maiden name is.
Her husband is Wilhelm Stahl and their kids baptisms are attached.
I believe it to be Oberforst; though, they had 3-4 more kids in Buffalo NY and it's clearly written as Oberkirsch or Oberkirsh in those records. One of the german records even appears to be Eberhard; though I "think" it's the same woman
What do you think? The black arrow shows each record.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks, I’m fine. Hope, you too.
I would support your reading of the mother’s maiden name as “Oberförst” in the baptism records. In the death record it’s “Oberförster” (literally ‘head forester’).

Hello Louie,
I would read this as: Agnes was born on January 18 and baptized two days later:
Damm(ratsch)hammer den 20ten Januar (1838)
T(auf) D(atum) dem Müller Joseph Zowada v(on) s(einem) E(heweib ) Maria geb. Marona am 18ten d(ieses) M(onats) geboren Agnes. T(auf) Z(eugen) Margaretza Llaby, Krystina Frohn, Johann Bartzig, Johanna Tholticsek (names are always a challenge and should be cross checked against other sources if possible)
Regards,
Michael

The second page:
The following were present and appeared as witnesses:
3. the shoemaker [Schuhmacher] Anton Polczynski, the personality approved through certificate of rejection [Ausmusterungsschein], 40 years old, residing in Berlin-Groß Lichterfelde
4. the furniture polisher [Möbelpoliteur] Hermann Aled, the personality approved through insurance card [Quittungskarte], 51 years old, residing in Berlin Friedrichsberger Str. 26
The registrar put to each of the betrothed in turn the question: whether they were willing to enter into marriage with one another. The betrothed answered this question in the affirmative, whereupon the registrar pronounced that by virtue of the Civil Code they were henceforth legally joined in marriage.
Read aloud, authorized and signed
Ignaz Zynda
Marianna Zynda born Blawatt
Anton Polczynski
Hermann Aled
The Registrar

Wentzel
Best regards and Merry Christmas

Thanks Michael, your translations and help have taught me a lot of the handwriting. I could decipher many of these words but it was too important of a document, I needed the expert's eye!

Hi Michael,
Hope you enjoyed your new year! I love football and the Buffalo Bills and for the first time in 25 years I can go to a home playoff game. Really excited.
Attached is a birth from Nieder-Wiesen in 1825. I can make out most of it but couple questions. You previously translated Conrad Sauer and Christina Geibel's marriage. This is their daugther Elizabeth. I see Conrad's mother as a sponsor or witness Margaret. In the marriage you indicated her name was Hesop; though, I've seen it many times where I am lead to believe it's Hepp. In other instances, the two 'p's' look identical. Interested to see if you changed your mind here from Hesop to Hepp.
What is the word before the Father Conrad Sauer's name?
Also, I think Conrad Sauer in the witness/sponsor is Conrad's father (husband to Margaret). Am I right?

Further explanation of Anna Margaret Hepp. Look at the bottom left confirmation here for John Sauer. His parents are Conrad Sauer and Anna Margaret Hepp. I think it's clear the they are two 'p's'. Maybe I'm wrong?
