Dear friend, could you help me with this translation. I couldn't find the father's name, I wonder if the narrative mentions this absence. Thank you very much. Rogerio

Hello Rogerio,

This is the translation: Needed for the reason of emigration
On May 5, 1841 Charlotte Tugendreich Franz in Wutzow gave birth to an illegitimate [außerehelich] son who was in the holy baptism on May 6, 1841 given the names Christian Friedrich Heinrich. This is officially certified on the basis of the local church book etc.

The illegitimate birth is the reason why the father is not mentioned. In such cases the father’s name was mentioned in the church book if he accepted fatherhood or if the parents married later and the child was legitimized thereby.

Best regards,
Michael

I have a death certificate for a member of the Stock Family. We are looking for more family members, we know that they were German and lived in the area of Breslau, specifically the former town of Jägerndorf, Sudetenland, Silesia, Germany. I have been able to translate some of the attached document, but it is very difficult since it is in old script. Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you so much Michael, this has greatly increased our knowledge and verified other information that we thought we knew. Obviously it is very difficult to find very much information on this part of the family since they scattered to the winds from Brieg.

Thank you again.
