Post subject: trying to find village in Mejszagola Parish
Hello friends,
I was looking for help finding a village that one of my great great.....grandmothers was born in. Turns out this village is called Elizabelinie kaime on the record. Many thanks to who can find it, if at all.
Hugh

Zoom in on Dwór Elizabelin on the image I attached. There are five buildings, one with a cross.
Another one, on the original complete map, dw Bortkuszki, has twelve buildings.
Thus a dwór has other buildings besides the manor house.
A dwór is not a village (wieś).

The other houses were likely residences of workers in the manor house. When the occupants of the manor house moved in 1944, the workers likely left as well.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dw%C3%B3r_(manor_house)
"The architectural form of the dwór evolved around the late Polish Renaissance period and continued until the Second World War, which, together with the communist takeover of Poland, spelled the end of the nobility in Poland. A 1944 decree nationalized most mansions as property of the nobility; few were adapted to other purposes and many slowly fell into ruin. It is estimated over 80% of such mansions are unused and slowly deteriorating."
