Yesterday we published first part of a Genealogy Tour of Adam titled Tracing the Obiala and Samelko families. First Days - Arrival in Warsaw and visit in Płock. You can see it on our blog http://blog.polishorigins.com/2015/11/09/tracing-the-obiala-and-samelko-families-first-days-arrival-in-warsaw-and-visit-in-plock/

"After a hearty breakfast that was served in the lounge area of the hotel, we met with Zenon to start our journey. He and his associates had prepared an agenda, prior to our arrival, and sent it to us for approval. This agenda, as we found out, to our delight, was not carved in stone and subject to change as we saw fit. We headed to Plock to visit the archives looking for traces of Obiala family. After about an hour and forty minute drive we arrived in Plock and proceeded to the courthouse and planned our search. Went to the central diocese record collection and began looking for records I did not have, namely the marriage of Antoni’s father, Kazmierz. After much searching, Zenon contacted Barbara who did the initial search for Obiala records. We awaited her reply to plan the next course of action."

This is the beginning of a Genealogy Tour of Adam, the next days will be published on our blog: http://blog.polishorigins.com/ in the coming days Smile.

Tracing the Obiala and Samelko families – Day 6. Heading to Romany to research the Samełko side. http://blog.polishorigins.com/2015/11/13/tracing-the-obiala-and-samelko-families-day-6-heading-to-romany-to-research-the-samelko-side/#more-4780

This is the 6 part of a Genealogy Tour of Adam which you can see on our PolishOrigins Forum http://blog.polishorigins.com/

"Checking out of the hotel, we bid goodbye to the Obiala side of the family and headed to the Romany area to start a new chapter and research the Samelko’s. It was about a five hour drive thru the Polish countryside, including the outskirts of Warsaw. Upon arriving in the small town of Romany, the birthplace of our grandfather, Jan, and Theodore’s father, we went to the church. Zenon met with the priest and set up an appointment for the next day. He then proceeded to ask around and located a family whose parents cared for Balbina (a sister to Jan) in her later years when she was ill. They could not answer as how they were related, but felt they were in some way because you do not care for someone that is ill unless they are family"

Next part will be soon Smile
