Post subject: locating village of ancestors death
Hello my PO friends,
I need help finding the village that my ancestor (3rd great grandfather) Jozef Fronckiewicz died in. He is buried in the Stare Troki, Lithuania cemetery and my researcher told me he died in the village of Dobrawola. I assume it must be in the Troki area.
Thanks for your help, my geography genealogy gurus.

Hugh,
I could locate it on an old Polish map from 1927. 4 places Dobrowola (the same is in old Polish geography book, where it is stated that Dobrawola writes also Dobrowola).
You can find it all on today Google Maps:
Senieji Trakai, Lithuania // Stare Troki
Dobrovolė,+Vilnius+County,+Lithuania // the only Dobrowola today
Lentvaris, Lithuania // Landwarów
Circa 6 km pedestrian from Stare Troki to the only Dobrowola today
Best,
Elzbieta
