MChait,

I looked up Wikis in various languages, see below, but do not see Warklau. After some search I do not believe "Warklau" is the correct German orthography, as we should see it in some historical records.
It is not in the alphabetiocal list of German places from 1900: Gemeindeverzeichnis Deutschland 1900

Gilberto reported several records with the name Warklau, so my hypothesis of typo-transformation is weak: Warkland -> Warklan -> Warklau
Maybe the second variant given in German Wiki: Warkelen -> Warklau

I am much more comfortable with Polish mutation: Warkljane -> Warklany.
