Post subject: Need help identifying Josef Marcinkowski of Radlowskie
I found the following article on the Internet. It is possible Josef Marcinkowski was my grandfather's half brother -- can anyone tell me more about him, his parents and family?
My grandfather was Andrew Tracz. His mother was Magdalena Kuklewicz, first married to John Tracz and second to Josef Marcinkowski. Her son with Josef Marcinkowski was also named Josef. I don't know dates except that my grandfather was born in 1897, so Josef's birthdate would be after that. Josef Jr. married Halina and had two children, Marion and Anna. The family lived in Biskupiec.

Hello, You wrote that yor family lived in Biskupiec, but teacher Józef Marcinkowski was born in Biskupice Radłowskie. Two different towns. Do you have any reference to Biskupiec? How you know about that town.
Marcinkowski is popular name, as well as Józef, its easy to make mistake.
If consider Biskupiec in Warmińsko-Mazurskie województwo as the right place, then we can read here http://www.gminabiskupiec.pl/asp/pliki/aktualnosci_2010/biuletyn_osp_120_lat.pdf that after the WWII Biskupiec was ruined in 75%. First newcomers were Franciszek i Józef Marcinkowski and Edmund Serówka and they settled in town. Józef Marcinkowski was running "colonist" shop and Franciszek Marcinkowski butchery/shop. Later here http://www.gminabiskupiec.pl/asp/pliki/grafika_2015/na_strone.pdf we can read about Mieczysław Marcinkowski that was councilor and died in 1995.

My Marcinkowski family was in Biskupiec Radlowski -- that is the village near Tarnow. Biskupiec is the old spelling, Biskupice new spelling according to my grandfather.
Thank you for your response and the links. Now that Christmas is over, I have time to pursue this.
