Help! I am looking for any information on my parents. Krystyna Wojcicki & Kazimierz Garason. My Mom was born in Boiska around 1923, my Father in Belz in 1922?. They were taken by the Nazi's in 1939 & 1940 to Germany for forced labor. Baptismal records, birth certificates anything would be helpful.

Hi,

There is a website with victims:
http://www.straty.pl/index.php/en/szukaj-w-bazie
I did not find anybody with the name Garason, but there is few Krystyna Wojcicka. Maybe the first line?

To search for birth records you must identify the place of birth. Both persons were born less than 100 years ago, you will not have any record in public archives - but you, as a direct descendant, are authorised to get records asking the relevant registry.

Only 9 Garason in today Poland, all of them in Tarnobrzeg (voievodship Podkarpackie)
http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/garason.html

Boiska and Stare Boiska are in v. Lubelskie
No such place as Belz, but maybe Bełżyce - it's the closest to Boiska, circa 47 km, see all three places on google maps
Tarnobrzeg,+Poland/Bełżyce,+Poland/Boiska,+Poland

Does it fit your information?
Best,
Elzbieta

I too am starting to research my father's background. He was born in 1913 in Belz, Poland (now Ukraine) and was, to my belief, the youngest of 9 siblings. You can read his obituary (attached) for more information. I'm guessing that your father might have been my uncle. Any information that you can send my way would be appreciated as this name is quite difficult to trace and I am just starting this research. Thank You.

Hi Stan, very interesting story Of Franciszek.
Here is some of his bio http://www.stankiewicze.com/index.php?kat=34&sub=563 as one of the soldier of Warsaw defence.
Im afraid, that because One of bros was officer, other memebers of family could intentionally suffer to force labour.
Here is a grave of Ludwik Garason in Bełz http://www.nieobecni.com.pl/index.php?s=grob&id=144870

@mmasard
Here http://www.eckhard-ullrich.de/lokal-splitter/1673-displaced-persons-im-bertuch-haus is mentioned Krystyna nad Kazimierz Garason. They were probably in Bertuch after leaving labour place. Museum of Bertuch has they story!
There are living people with Wójcicki name in Boiska-kolonia and neraby Stare Boiska.
