Post subject: The detailed offer of PO Kingdom of Poland Tour
PO Kingdom of Poland Tour is our new proposal, dedicated for all who are deeply interested in the history, culture and traditions of Poland, especially for those of you who have their roots in the former Russian partition of Poland, including today’s Lithuania.
It is an eleven day journey in Central, North - East Poland and Lithuania.
You will visit the romantic land of Henryk Sienkiewicz novels, Adam Mickiewicz’s Lithuania, described in his “Sir Thaddeus”, and on to Chopin’s beloved Polish landscapes. We will help you to understand the twists and turns of history, such as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian partition of Poland and the dramatic fate of the Polish people, during World War II.
We will show you two capitals: Warsaw and Vilnius, along with the region where the cultures of Jewish Polish, Lithuanian and Tatars intemingled and clashed. We will also see where the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches, western and eastern Europe cultures, meet.
You will see remote villages where time has stopped, old noble manor houses and palaces, and the renaissance architecture of Zamość, Kazimierz Dolny and Lublin, along with the wild forest reserve, with Bison and other Central European mammals. Together, we will experience the delicious local, regional cuisine, and fully experience real Slavic hospitality.
Kingdom of Poland Tour - Vilnius and Trakai, Lithuania.
For centuries (from the Union of Lublin in 1569), Poland and Lithuania co-created one great community in the form of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Vilnius, today's capital of Lithuania, was a city inhabited mainly by Poles until WWII. Now we want to give you a chance to go there with us.
We have detailed itinerary for the "Lithuanian part" of the Kingdom of Poland Tour.
While in Vilnius we will visit:
Gate of Dawn,
Russian Orthodox church of the Holy spirit,
Amber Museum, St. Ann's Church.
Next we will drive to "Gediminas Hill" passing Cathedral Square and Presidential Palace, Vilnius University.
In the second part of the day we will visit:
Trakai Castle located on an island in Lake Galvė.
There are still free seats for both 2015 terms of the Kingdom of Poland Tour:
