Post subject: New member from Germany – Researching my family roots
Hello everyone,
My name is Tanja, and I live in Germany. I am very interested in genealogy and have been researching my family history for quite some time.
My main focus is the Jaworski/Jaworska family.
My great-grandmother, Maria Jaworska, lived in Altona (now part of Hamburg), where she gave birth to my grandfather, Willi (Willy) Jaworski, on May 21, 1909. At that time, she was working as a domestic servant. My grandfather was later raised by his grandparents.
I am trying to discover where Maria Jaworska came from and what happened to her later in life.
I am also researching the family names Rechlin, Strasen, and Semper, particularly in Mecklenburg and Berlin.
I hope to connect with others who share my interest in family history, exchange information, and perhaps discover new family connections.
I look forward to being part of this community!
Warm greetings from Germany,
Tanja
