| Hello!
My ancestor Kazimierz (Casimir) CHMIELEWSKI, born about 1800-1810 "in Grodno", son of Jakub and Zofia ("Zoska"), emigrated to France after the 1831 uprising, married in Paris in 1841 and died there in 1868. A Różana baptism (17 Oct. 1806, son of Jakub and Zuzanna; FamilySearch film 007765701, image 783) might be his. Does anyone know Różana / Jundziłowicze records, or lists of 1831 émigrés where he could appear (with his unit or home parish)? Any story about the Chmielewski family there is welcome too. Thank you! | Hi Henri,
The parish of Różanka, near Grodno, is indexed on Geneteka, but I cannot find the Casimir you mentioned there. Furthermore, I am unable to locate the FamilySearch film 007765701 that you mentioned. Could you please check this and provide the names of other family members connected to Casimir? https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=gt&lang=eng&bdm=B&w=22br&rid=7932&search_lastname=&search_name=kazimierz&search_lastname2=&search_name2=&from_date=1800&to_date=1810&parents=1 Regards, -Barb |
